The water curtain uses two hollow columns bolted between containers at the head and foot, the overall height being 1-6 metres with the bottom container mounted on the floor. An 80mm high plate on edge extends along the longitudinal axis of the bottom container, having holes at 20mm c/c at 25mm from the horizontal top edge. The top container is a 'V' section with holes at 20mm centres in the angle, and calibrated wires located by the holes extend vertically from the two containers. A pump in a protective casing pumps water from the bottom container up a pipe in one of the columns. The unit is made from any material capable of being glued or wedged, the water supply being on a daily replenishment basis or automatic with electro-valves and a control box.
