The invention relates to a rheology additive wherein: A) said additive consists of: a) at least one symmetrical fatty diamide of the following formula (I): (AGH)-CONH-(PMDA)-NHCO-(AGH) (I) where: - (AGH) is a hydroxylated fatty acid residue R 1 CO 2 H, without a -CO2H group, with R1 in C18 to C20 having a hydroxyl group； -NHCO- or -CONH- is an amide group； -(PMDA) is a residue without amine groups of 1,5-pentamethylenediamine, preferably cadaverine diamine which is the biosourced diamine 1,5-pentamethylenediamine； or, alternatively, according to B) said additive comprises: a) at least one symmetrical fatty diamide as defined above in formula (I) and, in addition, b) at least one further symmetrical fatty diamide of the following formula (II): (AGH)-CONH-(R)-NHCO-(AGH) (II) where (AGH), -NHCO- and -CONH- have the same definition as above in formula (I) and (R) is the residue without amine groups of a diamine other than (PMDA), chosen from a cycloaliphatic, aliphatic or aromatic diamine. The invention also relates to binder compositions comprising said additive, for use in coatings, glues or adhesives, moulding compositions, mastics, sealants or cosmetics, and to finished products produced therewith.L'invention concerne un additif de rhéologie lequel selon : A) ledit additif est constitué de : a) au moins un diamide gras symétrique de formule suivante (I) : (AGH)-CONH-(PMDA)-NHCO-(AGH) (I) avec: - (AG H) : résidu d'acide gras hydroxylé R1CO2H, sans groupement -C02H, avec R1 en C18 à C20 comprenant un groupement hydroxylé, - NHCO- ou -CONH- : groupement amide - (PMDA) : résidu sans groupements amines de la 1,5-pentaméthylène diamine, de préférence de la diamine cadavérine qui est la diamine biosourcée 1,5- pentaméthylène diamine ou alternativement selon B) ledit additif comprend : a) au moins un diamide gras symétrique comme défini ci-haut selon la formule (I) et en plus, b) au moins un autre diamide gras symétrique de formule suivante (II) : (AGH)-CONH-(R)-NHCO-(AGH)
