FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: curve of change of moisture content in substance with time when finely divided specimen is dried in drying kiln under constant thermodynamic parameters of steam-and-gas medium at inlet to kiln is constructed according to procedure in advance. Maximal drying rate and drying duration to moisture content corresponding to critical and finite values are found and integral mean of strength of bonding of moisture with substance in range of moisture contents corresponding to removal of bound moisture is characterized by value of relative equivalent moisture content.
