PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce auxiliary work for positioning a breast and to easily and accurately position the breast at an appropriate position.SOLUTION: In the state that an arm member 30 is set to an inclined MLO photographing state and the breast is positioned on an photographing base 36 by a camera operator, the breast pressurizing plate 38 set on the tilt to the photographing base 36 is brought closer to the photographing base 36, the hand of the camera operator is removed at the point of time at which the breast pressurizing plate 38 is abutted to the breast and turned to the state of holding the breast from the lower direction, and then the breast pressurizing plate 38 is moved to the side of the photographing base 36.
