PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type absorbent article in which front and back can be easily discriminated even before being worn and a trace is hardly left on a groin of a wearer when it is worn.SOLUTION: The nappy 1 includes a stomach-side sheet member 2A, a back-side sheet member 2B and an absorbent body 3, and side edge parts 2a, 2b of both sheet members 2A, 2B are joined to form a pair of side sealing parts 4. The stomach-side sheet member 2A and the back-side sheet member 2B have extension parts 21a, 21b which extend below the side sealing parts 4. A plurality of elastic members 24 are positioned in an extended state along the X direction of the extension parts 21a, 21b, and the extension parts 21a, 21b each have stretchability in the X direction.
