PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type disposable diaper having side seal parts formed at both left/right sides of the diaper and having favorable external appearance, and having excellent texture in the side seal parts.SOLUTION: The pants-type disposable diaper includes a pair of side seal parts 4 formed thereon, where each of the pair of side seal parts 4 includes a main joining area 40 extending in the vertical direction, and a sub joining area 50 located horizontally outward the main joining area and extending in the vertical direction. The sub joining area is formed by providing one or a plurality of embossment rows in which a plurality of sub embossment parts 51 are vertically aligned at some intervals apart, and joining strength of the sub joining area is set weaker than the joining strength of the main joining area. Further, no adhesive is applied to the main joining area and the sub joining area, and both left/right side parts of a front piece and a back piece are joined by only heat-sealing.【課題】おむつの左右両側部に形成されたサイドシール部の見栄えが良く、また、このサイドシール部における手触りが良好なパンツ型使い捨ておむつを提供する。【解決手段】一対のサイドシール部4が形成されたパンツ型使い捨ておむつであって、この一対のサイドシール部は、上下方向に延びる主接合領域40と、主接合領域よりも左右方向外側に位置し上下方向に延びる副接合領域50と、を有している。ここで、副接合領域は、複数の副エンボス部51が上下方向に間隔をおいて並ぶエンボス列が、一又は複数列設けられることにより形成された領域であり、副接合領域の接合強度は、主接合領域の接合強度よりも弱く設定されている。さらに、主接合領域及び副接合領域には、接着剤が塗布されておらず、熱融着のみによって、前身頃と後身頃の左右両側部が接合されている。【選択図】図3
