PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an absorber, capable of stably producing the absorber excellent in shape retention by timely and accurately grasping a width of a non-coating area of a cover sheet in continuous production, and securing fixing property of an absorbent core to the cover sheet.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an absorber made by wrapping an absorbent core arranged with a groove part at least in a product longitudinal direction, with a cover sheet includes steps of: coating an adhesive agent on an inner surface of the cover sheet, wrapping the absorbent core wrapping the absorbent core by folding both side parts of the cover sheet so as to be overlapped and overlapping and joining both side parts at a surface side where the groove part of the absorbent core is arranged.
