PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the opening of a restrainer body from being released, even if the operation section is operated in a drawn down manner by an animal scratching the neck or the like.SOLUTION: The animal restrainer includes: a restrainer body 2 a lock pin 3 freely slidably inserted in the restrainer body 2 and a spring which is arranged in the restrainer body 2 and which energizes the lock pin 3 in a direction closing the opening 2a of the restrainer body 2. The restrainer is freely attachable to and detachable from a ring installed in a collar or the like of an animal. A lock lever 6 that has an engaging piece freely detachable from the operation section 33 of the lock pin 3 is freely rotatably supported on the restrainer body 2.
