PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus having an endoscope insertion tube in which a curved tube can be made watertight without increasing the outer diameter of the insertion tube, and a method of manufacturing the endoscope apparatus.
SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus is equipped with: a roughly tubular curved tube 41 provided so as to be freely curved in at least a part of the endoscope insertion tube which can be inserted into the inside of an object an elastic tubular member 42 which is roughly tubular, is disposed on the outer circumference of the curved tube 41 and can be elastically deformed in accordance with the curve of the curved tube 41 and a flexible blade 23 which is roughly tubular, is disposed on the outer circumference of the elastic tubular member 42 and is braided with fine wires. At a part of the blade 23, diameter reduction parts 23b and 23e adhered and hardened in such a state that the diameter is reduced by a first adhesive layer 52 impregnated in the gap of the fine wires are formed so as to tighten the end part of the elastic tubular member 42 and elastically reduce the diameter thereof.
