PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure an opening diameter of a narrowed part.SOLUTION: A hood 10 for an endoscope is mounted on a distal end part 52 of an endoscope insertion part 50, and includes: a cylindrical fitting fixation part 12 which is fitted externally onto the distal end part 52 so as to cover the outer circumferential surface of the distal end part 52 and a hood body 14 which comprises a transparent member, is formed in a conical shape tapered toward the distal end, and is provided with an opening 22 on the distal end.
