PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double bearing reel which can reduce an area of a water screen generated between a reel body and a flange part of a spool.SOLUTION: A double bearing reel 100 comprises a reel body 1 and a spool 2. The reel body 1 has a first side plate 5a, and a second side plate 5b arranged to have a space between it and the first side plate 5a in an axial direction. The spool 2 comprises: a first flange part 2b which has a first cylindrical face 2d extending on the first side plate 5a side and arranged to face an inner peripheral part of the first side plate 5a, and has a diameter larger than that of a spool trunk 2a provided on the first side plate 5a side of the spool trunk 2a and a second flange part 2c which is provided on the second side plate 5b side of the spool trunk 2a and has a diameter larger than that of the spool trunk 2a, and is rotatably supported to the reel body 1.
