The present invention provides a connector that is capable of opening a valve without the need to insert the leading end of a pipe inside a flow passage of a housing. This connector is provided with a housing provided with a flow passage and a pipe connection opening, and a valve which is formed by an elastic material and which occludes the pipe connection opening. The valve has a deformation section formed in a substantially cylindrical shape, and a flanged fixing piece that protrudes from the outer periphery of the deformation section. The deformation section has a top surface that is exposed from the pipe connection opening, a bottom surface opposite to the top surface, and a slit that reaches the bottom surface from the top surface. The fixing piece is disposed on a middle section of the top surface and the bottom surface, and is fixed to the housing.
