PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalomologic observation apparatus for notifying an examiner that a part to be observed is protruded from a frame.
SOLUTION: A fundus observation apparatus 1 as an example of ophthalomologic observation apparatus forms a tomographic image of the fundus Ef by using an OCT (optical coherence tomograph). An image area identification part 231 analyzes the tomographic image of the fundus Ef and identifies a fundus surface area corresponding to the fundus surface. An image position determination part 232 determines whether the identified fundus surface area is in contact with an upper side or a lower side of a frame of the tomographic image. When it is determined that the fundus surface area is in contact with the upper side or the lower side of the frame, a main control unit 211 displays prescribed notification information on a display part 240.
