PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the position of a buried object accurately and easily. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an RFID element 12 attached to an object 11 and buried in the ground, a truck 21 movable on the ground in which the object 11 is to be buried, an object discrimination device 31 loaded on the truck 21, and an object position detecting device 41 loaded on the truck 21. In this burying position detecting method of the object 11, inherent data of the object 11 or the like are stored in a first memory 14f of the RFID element 12, and the buried position of the object 11 and the attached position of the RFID element 12 are stored in a second memory 44a of a second controller 44 of the object position detecting device 41 as arrangement data together with geographic data of a satellite navigation system 42, and the truck 21 is moved based on the geographic data and the arrangement data, and a radio wave heaving a resonance frequency of the RFID element 12 is transmitted from the object discrimination device 31, and thereby the buried position of the object 11 and the attached position of the RFID element 12 are specified from a received radio wave and simultaneously the inherent data of the object 11 are obtained.
