PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turf growing apparatus having a simple configuration for efficient irradiation with light while preventing turf damage to cultivate turf.SOLUTION: There is provided a turf growing apparatus 10 comprising a lighting unit 11 for emitting light downward a top plate 12 covering an upper portion of the lighting unit 11 a frame portion 14 supporting the top plate 12 and a plurality of wheels 15 attached under the frame portion 14. The lighting unit 11 is attached to the top plate 12 with an expandable connecting member 13 interposed therebetween so as to be able to change the relative distance with respect to the top plate 12.
