To provide a heart beat sensor which uses a photoelectric conversion device having wavelength selectivity so that a low output LED may be used to prevent skin damage and to reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: The heart beat sensor includes a light emitting unit configured to emit white light, and a sensor unit configured to detect transmitted or reflected light after the light emitting unit irradiates a blood vessel with the white light.
