PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which uses an imaging unit with two imaging elements laminatingly mounted thereon to enable simultaneous observation of reflection from a subject caused by white light and reflection from the subject caused by infrared light with a desired performance attained.SOLUTION: Used is an imaging unit 21 on which are mounted laminatingly, from the side receiving light from a subject, a color filter 93 allowing infrared light to transmit therethrough, a first imaging element 83 photoelectrically converting white light, and a second imaging element 87 photoelectrically converting infrared light which has transmitted through the color filter 93 and the first imaging element 83, such that the reflection of white light from the subject and the reflection of infrared light from the subject are observed simultaneously.
