The sludge separating apparatus for separating water and sludge includes: an impeller including a plurality of gaps formed on a wing; an impeller housing including first and second inlets respectively formed on both sides of the upper end part around the horizontal rotational axis of the impeller, and first and second outlets formed on both sides of the lower end part respectively; and a blocker installed between the first and second outlets to go through the gaps when the impeller is rotated. Once water and sludge flow into the first inlet, the water goes down directly to the first outlet after passing through the gaps, and the sludge attached on the wing goes down directly to the second outlet after being pushed by the blocker.
