PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilization device for stabilizing vertebrae or other bones.SOLUTION: The stabilization device includes: at least two rods having a different diameter an anchoring element having a shaft for anchoring in the bone and a head and a receiving part for connecting one rod from the at least two rods to the anchoring element. The receiving part includes a top end and a bottom end a rod receiving part with a channel for receiving the rod and a head receiving part for accommodating a head of the bone anchoring element. The head receiving part has an open end and is flexible so as to allow introduction and clamping of the head. The receiving part further includes a locking ring embracing the head receiving portion. The head is clamped by pressing onto the locking ring with the rod to move the locking ring towards the open end.
