PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prosthesis for a living body equipped with a novel load supporting structure not to cause a breakage accident in the prosthesis for a living body equipped with a shaft, a plate, and a fixation screw member.
SOLUTION: The prosthesis for a living body is equipped with: the shaft which is inserted into a marrow cavity and includes a solid body the plate which extends in the axial direction of the shaft from a diaphysis part of the shaft and includes insertion holes penetrating in the thickness direction and the fixation screw member including a head part, a self tap screw part formed on the end side, and a fixation part formed between the head part and the self tap screw part for holding a bone tightly between the shaft and the plate through the fixation screw members inserted into the insertion holes. The fixation screw member is fixated on the plate through the fixation part and is buried and fixated in the bone through the self tap screw part.
