PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that provides an excellent fitting around legs and so reduces side leaks as it becomes more resistant to twisting and cracking.SOLUTION: At positions across the center section 41 of an absorber 23, a pair of longitudinal slits 40A are provided along the longitudinal direction. Front slits 40B leading to the front ends of the pair of longitudinal slits 40A are provided at the front of a crotch section C2 in such a way as to extend to both side ends of the absorber 23. A pair of rear slits 40C leading to the rear ends of the pair of longitudinal slits 40A are provided at the rear of the crotch section C2. The longitudinal slits 40A, the front slits 40B, and the rear slits 40C constitute a pair of split slits 40.
