PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of being sufficiently extended when longitudinal force is applied to the absorbent article.SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 10 includes: a front surface sheet layer 11 a rear surface sheet layer 12 and an absorber 13 existing between the front and rear sheet layers. Each of the front surface sheet layer 11, the rear surface sheet layer 12, and the absorber 13 has extensibility in the longitudinal direction A. Extensibility of at least one sheet layer 11, 12 of the front surface sheet layer 11 and the rear surface sheet layer 12 is elastic extensibility. The sheet layer 11, 12 includes: a first zone 29 that crosses the absorber 13 in the lateral direction B and is provided to exert elastic extensibility and a second zone 30 whose elastic extensibility is lower than that of the first zone 29 in the longitudinal direction A.
