PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing device which enables a bathing helper to sufficiently approach the vicinity of a bathtub sidewall, and more facilitates the transfer operation of a bather and the helping work of the bathing helper.SOLUTION: The bathing device makes it deliver a litter 3 between a stretcher 4 and a bathtub in the state that a bathing helper is on the boarding base 25 of the stretcher, and is provided with a part 44 to be engaged, which is to be detachably engaged with an engaging part provided on the stretcher 4, on a bathtub side face. The width of the boarding base 25 in the delivery direction of the litter 3 is shortened such that the leg part of a bather is not brought into contact with the side end part of the boarding base 25 when transferring the bather onto the litter 3 at least.
