PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of commercial value and increase of washing burden that originate in adhesion of laver dough to a surface of a water-absorbing body.SOLUTION: In a laver-producing machine (1) in which a water absorption pad (23) is disposed at a lower part of a support (22) that can go up and down, the water absorption pad (23) is lowered toward laver dough, thereby the laver dough is pressed by the water absorption pad (23) and dehydration of the laver dough is performed the water absorption pad (23) disposes a sponge-like water-absorbing body (25) at a lower surface of a holder (24) detachably disposed at the support (22), and disposes a sponge-like water absorbent sheet (26) whose eye of a surface is rougher than that of the water-absorbing body (25) at a lower surface of the water-absorbing body (25). Moreover, both ends of the water absorbent sheet (26) are bent toward an upper surface side of the holder (24), and both ends lower surfaces of the water absorbent sheet (26) and an upper surface of the holder (24) are detachably connected.
