Measurement of drapeability of textile surface material comprises applying the textile material on a bearing surface with a surface outline by subjecting a thrust force in the direction of the bearing surface
The thrust force is produced by a negative pressure subjected gas impermeable flexible membrane. The bearing surface (2) is partitioned into number of measuring fields (ij) with respective force/way sensors. The force is seized by a three point storage of the measuring fields forming elements arranged sensors (3). The drapeability is determined from the differences of the seized forces for the individual measuring fields. An independent claim is also included for device for measuring drapeability of textile surface material.
