PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dye-including silica-based particle which causes no bleeding and is excellent in lubricity.SOLUTION: This method for producing a dye-including silica-based particle includes the steps of: (a) preparing a dye-including silica-based particle precursor particle by spray-drying a dye-including alkali silicate aqueous solution in a hot air flow (b) immersing the dye-including silica-based particle precursor particle into an acid aqueous solution to remove alkalis and (c) performing drying/heating treatment.
