PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing in which the concentricity of a spool shaft can reliably be obtained, and the spool shaft can longitudinally be reciprocated with high accuracy in a smooth and no-backlash manner without impairing rotary performance of a pinion gear in the handle rotating operation.SOLUTION: A spool shaft 3a of a spinning reel for fishing is provided with an outer circumferential surface supported reciprocatively back and forth by an inner circumferential surface of a support cylindrical body 60 fixed to a reel body 1.
