PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing that can reliably obtain concentricity of a spool shaft to a pinion gear without restricting a design freedom, and thereby can lighten the sliding resistance of the spool shaft.SOLUTION: A spinning reel for fishing includes an interposed supporting member 40 for forming a gap s between a pinion gear 8 and a spool shaft 3a by being interposed between an inner circumferential surface of a rotor nut 9 screwed in an outer circumferential surface of the front end of the pinion gear 8 and an outer circumferential surface of the spool shaft 3a projected from the front end 8e of the pinion gear 8, and supporting the spool shaft 3a, and thereby maintaining the inner circumferential surface of the pinion gear 8 and the outer circumferential surface of the spool shaft 3a in a non-contact state.
