PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions for keratin fibers, for example, hair compositions, in which its viscosity does not increase excessively over time and its ammonia bad odor is reduced.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a composition for keratin fibers containing (a) a non-neutralizing anionic surfactant selected from at least one polyoxyethylenized fatty alcohol, (b) at least one nonionic surfactant, (c) at least one fat substance, and (d) at least one alkali agent, the amount of the non-neutralizing anionic surfactant of (a) being less than 0.9 mass% to the total mass of the composition, the total HLB of the nonionic surfactant selected from polyoxyethylenized fatty alcohol of (b) being 10 or more.
