PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion device capable of uniformly expanding an expansion target object in the circumferential direction without using an expansion fluid.SOLUTION: An expansion device 10A comprises: an outer pipe 14 having an expansion mechanism 20 and an inner pipe 12 disposed inside the outer pipe. The outer pipe 14 includes: a first pipe unit 24 on which a plurality of first slits 22 are formed at intervals in the circumferential direction and a second pipe unit 28 on which a plurality of second slits 26 are formed at intervals in the circumferential direction. The expansion mechanism 20 includes: a plurality of first expansion units 36, each of which is formed between first slits 22 and a plurality of second expansion units 50, each of which is formed between second slits 26.
