The present invention provides a photographing object simulation method using a camera and a device thereof which can minimize radiation exposure. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the photographing object simulation method comprises: a step of correcting to allow an upper boundary point of an X-ray photographing area photographed by an X-ray emission unit and a camera photographing area photographed by a camera to cross a preset point； a step where the camera photographs a subject and calculates the distance between the X-ray emission unit and the subject； and a step of using an image of the subject photographed by the camera to simulate an X-ray photographing image, and displaying a camera photographing image scaled in response to the calculated distance on a display unit.
