PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide organic-inorganic composite particles, a method for production thereof, a dispersion liquid containing the particles, and a cosmetic compounding the particles.SOLUTION: There are provided organic-inorganic composite particles comprising a polymer gel molecule electrostatically bound to the surface of each of the inorganic oxide particles, wherein each of the inorganic oxide particles has a cationic charge on the surface thereof, and the polymer gel molecule is derived from a naturally occurring material, has an anionic functional group and one or more hydroxy groups in the molecule and also has both shrinking and swelling properties. There are also provided a method for producing the particles, a dispersion liquid containing the particles and a cosmetic compounding the particles.
