Decursinol angelate enhances the expression of glucose transporter-2 and suppresses the activation of AMP-activated protein kinase in the pancreas.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013본 발명은 데커시놀 안젤레이트를 유효성분으로 하는 당뇨 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 데커시놀 안젤레이트를 이용하여 혈당을 감소시켜 당뇨 치료의 효과를 갖는 당뇨 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 당뇨 치료용 조성물은 혈당 강하, 식이량 및 사료효율을 증가시키고, 근육 조직에서 AMP-Activated Protein Kinase의 활성화 및 포도당 수송체-4(Glucose transporter-4)의 발현을 증가시켜, 포도당 수송체-4(Glucose transporter-4)가 근육 조직 내로 포도당을 수송하여 당뇨 치료의 효과가 있다. 또한 본 발명의 당뇨 치료용 조성물은 췌장의 베타 세포에서 AMP-Activated Protein Kinase의 비활성화 및 포도당 수송체-2(Glucose transporter-2)의 발현을 증가시켜 췌장의 베타 세포가 혈중 포도당 농도에 반응하여 정상적으로 인슐린을 분비하도록 함으로써 당뇨 치료의 효과를 갖는다. 또한 본 발명의 당뇨 치료용 조성물은 당뇨로 인한 췌장의 베타 세포 손상을 회복시키는 효과가 있으며, 또한 많은 량을 사용하더라도 세포독성이 없어 고포도당 농도에 의한 신장근위세포의 생존률의 증가의 효과를 갖는바 당뇨치료제로서 매우 유용한 것이다.
