PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new use of black tea extract components based on the results of a research for the effects of the black tea extract components to obesity and diabetes.
SOLUTION: This glucose uptake-activating agent in muscular cells, GLUT 4 translocation-activating agent in the muscular cells, GLUT translocation inhibitory agent in fat cells or preventing agent of diabetic complication contains black tea extract components containing theaflavins of a mixture of the components of TF, TF3-G, TF3-G and TF3,3-G, and beverages and foodstuffs containing any of them are also provided. By taking these, it is possible to inhibit the glucose uptake in the fat cells and at the same time on the contrary activate the glucose uptake in the muscular cells.
