The present invention relates to multifunctional mulching paper for agricultural use and a method for manufacturing the mulching paper improved in terms of biodegradability, nutrition, pest prevention, etc. The method for manufacturing the mulching paper according to the present invention is based on coating solution application to craft paper. The manufacturing of the coating solution includes: i) a step of stirring and dispersing 5 to 20 parts by weight of dried herbal agricultural product powder and 5 to 20 parts by weight of water-swelling nano clay in 100 parts by weight of water ii) a step of performing additional addition and stirring by using 5 to 15 parts by weight of vegetable drying oil and 2 to 10 parts by weight of natural mothproofing oil and causing the vegetable drying oil and the natural mothproofing oil to be dipped in the dried herbal agricultural product powder or the water-swelling nano clay and iii) a step of performing additional addition and stirring by using 2 to 15 parts by weight of cationic starch and 2 to 10 parts by weight of red algae extract powder for mixing.
