摘要:
Fields of use: cultivating flowers, vegetables and soft fruits, and young trees, shrubs and vines, and also producing containers for growing young plants. The present method can be used by private gardeners and allotment growers, and plant breeders, as well as by small, medium and large agricultural concerns. Seedlings are grown in empty or partially (or fully) soil-filled sachets disposed in cells in a rolled up plant tray; in another embodiment they are grown in cells in a modular plant tray. In a second step of the method, the seedlings are transferred together with the sachets (or cells of the modular plant tray) to pots. The pots used are in the form of six- or eight-sided hollow prisms with feet, which are manually (or automatically) assembled from blanks. This makes it possible to cultivate in two stages young vegetable plants that do not tolerate replanting well. The cost of young plants is reduced by not less than 10% and the propagating period for growing vegetables and soft fruits is reduced by at least two weeks. Labour costs are reduced and the process of caring for young plants is simplified. The fruiting season is extended, and water, heat and electricity consumption is reduced. The amount of ground required for a young plant is reduced and the available space is used more efficiently. Seedlings are not damaged during transportation, and the replanting thereof can be mechanized. A number of environmental problems are solved.
