An illuminated infusion cannula, comprising: an endo-illuminator operable toprovidelight； a hose operable to transport a fluid； a hub mechanically coupled to theendo-illuminatorand the hose； and a transparent cannula downstream from the hub wherein: thetransparentcannula is positioned coaxially with the endo-illuminator； and a space betweena distal end ofthe endo-illuminator and proximal end of the transparent cannula, wherein thespace allowsfluid to flow around the distal end of the endo-illuminator and into thetransparent cannula；wherein the transparent cannula is adapted to disperse light emitted from theendo-illuminatorin a desired angular distribution, being curved such that no light emittedfrom the endo-illuminatoris directly transmitted from the transparent cannula.
