Bait consisting of pieces of earthworms impregnated with an appropriate poison are first produced industrially. These baits are then treated by freeze-drying so as to make them practically completely dry, and they are packaged in sealed sachets in view of their commercialisation and their rehydration by the user himself, immediately before introduction into underground galleries and into mole hills.
