The method according to the invention consists in shaping the meat and the vegetables into bars, in cutting the bars of meat and of vegetables into slices, in applying at least one slice of meat 1 against a slice of vegetables 2, or at least one slice of vegetables 2 against one slice of meat 1, in order to produce a dish, in optionally recommencing the preceding stage several times in order to produce other dishes, and in freezing the dish (dishes) thus obtained. It may be advantageous to freeze the bars of meat and of vegetables before cutting them into slices, as freezing facilitates cutting up. The dishes obtained in accordance with the method according to the present invention are more particularly intended for communal catering. <IMAGE>
