PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coffee extraction liquid useful as raw material for a coffee drink having excellent storage stability and also good richness and bitterness while reducing hydroxyhydroquinone.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing coffee extraction liquid comprising an extraction process in which the inside of an extraction machine is charged with the following components: (A) first roasted coffee beans having an L value of 14 to 20 (B) second roasted coffee beans having an L value higher than that of the first roasted coffee beans and (C) active carbon in this order from the upstream side in the liquid passing direction, and is fed with an extraction solvent to obtain a coffee extraction liquid.
