PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, hardly causing a wearer to feel a discomfort and restraining the occurrence of twisting and bending.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes: a surface sheet 11 a rear surface sheet 12 and an absorber 20 interposed between the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet. A part where the surface sheet and the absorber overlap each other includes: an oblong annular pressing strip groove 31 formed by pressing the surface sheet and the absorber in the thickness direction low pressing regions 14 located on both end parts in the longitudinal direction in an area 16 surrounded with the annular pressing strip groove and having a low pressing recessed part 32 formed by pressing the surface sheet and the absorber in the thickness direction and an absorbing central region 17 located between the low pressing regions.
