PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having beautifully formed creases and an underwear-like outside appearance, and having excellent air permeability and dehumidifying capability.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes an absorbent body 3 and a shell 4. The shell has a stretchable composite part I including a stretchable sheet 38 and a non-stretchable sheet 36 joined to the stretchable sheet on the surfaces facing each other. In the stretchable composite part I in a natural state, a number of first projecting stripes 31 are formed on the surface on the non-stretchable sheet 36 side and a number of second projecting stripes 32 lower than the first projecting stripes 31 are formed on the surface on the stretchable sheet 38 side. The first projecting stripes 31 are disposed in an area abutting to the skin of a wearer on the surface facing the wearers skin (on the inner side of the diaper) of the shell 4.
