PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, when a skin of a wearer moves in the width direction of the article when being worn, representing optimal following deformation property at projecting strip parts on a surface sheet, preventing friction with the skin, and scarcely stimulating the skin.SOLUTION: The absorbent article according to the present invention, has a longitudinal direction X and a width direction Y. A surface sheet 2 includes: an upper-layer nonwoven fabric 1 with an uneven structure in which projecting strip parts 13 and recessed strip parts 14 extending in the longitudinal direction are alternately formed in the width direction Y and a lower-side sheet 6 that is joined with the upper-layer nonwoven fabric 1 at joining parts formed at bottoms of the recessed strip parts 14, where the projecting strip parts 13 have a hollow structure.
