PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type seedling planting machine which is equipped with a stand for lifting a seedling planting device, composed of a relatively simple constitution, from a ground surface. SOLUTION: The planting part stand 50, which is attached to the seedling planting device 3 in the rear of the riding type seedling planting machine, comprises: a first part 50a which is elongated in the vertical direction; a second part 50b which is longitudinally elongated by being bent from the first part 50a; a third part 50c which is horizontally elongated by being bent from the second part 50b; and a mounting base part 50d which is provided at the end of the first part 50a. The position of the third part 50c can be switched so that the third part 50c can be positioned on the rear side with respect to a seedling planting tool 44 and arranged in a position to guard the seedling planting tool 44, in the use of the seedling planting tool 44, and so that the third part 50c can be positioned below floats 45 and 46 on the front and lower sides with respect to the seedling planting tool 44 and arranged in a position to lift the floats 45 and 46 from the ground surface, in the disuse of the seedling planting tool 44.
