PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, which requires reduced materials, easier manufacturing work, and lower manufacturing cost, for forming a pocket in a crotch side of a wearer.
SOLUTION: This absorbent article consists of a liquid-permeable top sheet 3, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 4, and an absorber 5 disposed between the top sheet 3 and the back sheet 4, and is further provided with an absorbent body 2 which has a back-side area S1, a crotch area S2 and a ventral area S3 in a longitudinal direction from the back side to a ventral side in wearing, a pair of side flap parts 10 provided in the width-directional both sides of the absorbent body 2, pairs of elastic members 12a, 12b and 12c longitudinally provided in an extended state in the crotch areas S2 of the respective side flap parts 10, and a crotch side extension area 13 extended in the width direction at the side flap parts 10 in the crotch area S2 between the absorbent body 2 and the elastic members 12a which are positioned outermost sides.
