PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sowing method capable of effectively controlling diseases and pests of rice in paddy-rice direct sowing cultivation.SOLUTION: The rice sowing method includes: a step (A) of applying a chemical agent 2 to a field into strips or dots； and a step (B) of sowing rice seeds 1, into strips or dots, immediately above or apart in the direction orthogonally to the strips of the chemical agent applied in the previous step. The step of applying the chemical agent and the step of sowing the rice seeds into dots or strips are substantially simultaneously performed.
