A method for manufacturing a separated tip catheter having a separated tip configuration includes the steps of: extruding an extrusion material through a die to form a catheter including a catheter body having a proximal end and a distal end and defining a first lumen and a second lumen, the catheter body having a septum positioned between the first and second lumens； and feeding a strip into the die so that the strip is positioned between the first lumen and the second lumen along a length of the catheter, the strip having a first proximal section formed of a first material capable of bonding with the extrusion material and a second distal section formed of a second material incapable of bonding with the extrusion material.Un método de manufactura de un catéter de punta separada que tiene una configuración de punta separada incluye las etapas de: extruir un material de extrusión a través de una matriz para formar un catéter que incluye un cuerpo de catéter que tiene un extremo próximo y un extremo distante y que define un primer lumen y un segundo lumen, el cuerpo de catéter tiene un septo situado entre el primer y segundo lúmenes； y alimentar una tira en la matriz de modo que la tira es situada entre el primer lumen y el segundo lumen a lo largo de la longitud del catéter, la tira tiene una primera sección próxima formada de un primer material capaz de unirse con el material de extrusión y una segunda sección distante formada de un segundo material incapaz de unirse con el material de extrusión.
