PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite implant and a method for treating bone fractures.SOLUTION: A composite implant includes an injectable matrix material which is flowable and can be cured and a reinforcing element for integration with the matrix material. The reinforcing element adds sufficient strength to the matrix material so that the composite implant supports a bone when the composite implant is disposed in a cavity in the bone.
