PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new exercising method and device capable of relieving a user from chronic stiffness or pains by allowing the user to efficiently exercise joints or muscles in his/her deep trunk on which treatment would be less likely to have effects otherwise.
SOLUTION: This trunk exercise machine 4 includes an external force generator 1, a shaft 2 and a foot rest 3. The external force generator 1 generates an external force and a shaft 2 is provided with an external force supply means for applying an external force with a prescribed cycle to a person to cause resonance movements at his/her trunk. The foot rest 3 which detects movements in a prescribed direction of the trunk and a display panel having a control unit where exercise conditions including the cycle of the external force to be applied to the person and the exercise duration are inputted.
