Provided is a method for manufacturing food and drink containing a spice and/or a flavor component having an enhanced spice aroma, which comprises a step of adding methionol and 2-phenylethanol to the food and drink, the food and drink obtained by using the manufacturing method, a composition containing the methionol and 2-phenylethanol to enhance the spice aroma of the spice and/or the flavor component, and a method for enhancing the spice aroma of the spice and/or the flavor component comprising a step of mixing the methionol and 2-phenylethanol with the spice and/or the flavor component.
